How to fix a filing cabinet drawer?
The drawer to a suspension filing cabinet (that used to open the full length of the drawer smoothly) is now constantly getting stuck (no smooth rolling). This started happening after I moved and movers removed the drawer. Is there a trick to reinserting a suspension filing cabinet drawer??? (Something OTHER than: "pull it out until it stops and then lift up.")
The drawer either is not in its track properly or something is stuck in the track or perhaps a screw came out and the track is loose on the cabinet or door side.
Remove the drawer and check all 4 tracks 2 on the cabinet and 2 on the drawer. Make sure nothing is loose or broken. Check inside the cabinet for anything stuck there. Then empty the drawer and place the two wheels on the drawer into the two slots at the beginning of the track on the cabinet by tilting up the front of the drawer towards the ceiling and letting it down as you slide the drawer in.
